Sweets Factory

GIF Animation

I created a GIF for a sweets factory to showcase my ability to create a looping effect. In this animation, macarons, donuts, and cupcakes drop and move to the right to emphasize that they are in a factory undergoing packaging processes. Inspired by factory videos, I decided to produce an animation in my own style. The purpose of this animation was to showcase my pop-styled illustrations in this 2D motion piece and to demonstrate my animation skills.

Progress

This is my workspace for the Sweets Factory project. First, I create the graphics using Adobe Illustrator, ensuring that each element, like macarons, donuts, and cupcakes, is designed with precision and consistency. Once the graphics are complete, I import them into After Effects for the animation process. In After Effects, I primarily use the null object to control the movement of all the sweets, making them bounce and move to the right, creating a seamless and engaging animation that simulates the factory packaging process. This method allows for efficient and cohesive animation, bringing the graphics to life in a dynamic and visually appealing way.

Sketches & Storyboard

Here are my sketches and storyboard for the illustration used in the GIF animation. I aimed for a pop-styled art to match the concept of sweets and a child-friendly design. The animation is simple, as is the storyboard. I didn't want to make the GIF complicated, so I decided to depict one motion and repeat it with every sweet that is showcased.
